Venerable Khentrul Rinpoche

He was born on 6th June 1971 and became a monk at the age of 18. He studied Tibetan literature and astrology under a famous Tibetan Master called Khenpo Tsultrim Gyalten. Admitted to the Sakya Centre in 1993 and after a short time, he joined Sakya College, an Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies on 15th July 1993. He completed his studies in 2003 by obtaining an Acharya Degree (equivalent to MA). During his time at the Sakya College, he served as a teacher for one and a half year.
In 2004 he was recognized as a reincarnation of previous high lama Tashi Gyatso Rinpoche and was appointed as an abbot of Taglung Tharling Choede monastery by His Holiness the Sakya Trizin. He received common and uncommon Lamdre Teachings five times as well as the collection of Sadhana and Tantra from the same Holiness.
He also obtained full monk ordination from H.E. Ngor Ludhing Khenchen Rinpoche in 2001 and completed some major deity retreats such as Hevajra, Bhutadamara, and so on. In 2006 he came back to the Sakya Centre and has been doing various Dharma activities such as performing annual great rituals like Vajrayogini, Mahavairocana, Vajra Nairatma, Vajrakilaya, Summer Retreat, Hevajra, Damtsig Kangso, Chakrasamvara, Vajrakilaya Diversion, etc.
Rinpoche is now residing in Our Centre and his two year tenure here will provide benefits to our Centre and members, friends and the local community. He takes care of the Centre, does daily rituals like Tara and Mahakala Pujas, provides blessings and consultations, conducts Teachings, and performs Changchog for the deceased and other religious activities. We encourage all members and friends to seek Rinpoche for assistance whenever the need arises.
